Drafting for the Home Builder
Time is precious for a residential contractor. If they aren’t
meeting with clients, picking up materials for a job site, going hands on with
the construction of a new home, working out logistics to send crews to different
jobs, etc. etc. etc., they’re trying to get free time to draw the house plans
for a client.
Some contractors hire an in house draftsman to take care of
all the fine details of their plans. To me, that’s great… I’m a draftsman also
and love that my colleagues are employed. But the facts are that a draftsman is
a major overhead in some construction offices. Especially those who are
starting a new construction company.
The alternatives are hiring designers and drafters to handle
the task. It’s a good solution but it can be pricey. I’m offering a solution to

BETA Testers Needed For New Online Drafting School
I have just finished putting together an online drafting school that will teach you how to draw house plans, site plans, mechanical drawings, remodeling plans, electrical plans, etc...
There is no charge to you. Everything will be furnished to you that's needed electronically including lesson sketches, access to a free CAD program, symbols needed for the drawings, etc... A certificate is given once you complete the courses.
All I need is for you to give me input on how the school is arranged for the student and if there are any errors in the courses, ie. grammar, spelling, etc...
